Give-it-a‑Go (Beginner Introduction Program)

A 4-week guided introduction to the world of archery.

What is it?

SANAA’s official beginner program designed for those new to the sport. Over four 1-hour weekly sessions, you’ll learn the foundations of archery in a fun, safe environment.

What you’ll learn:

  • Archery range safety and etiquette
  • How to handle and shoot a recurve bow
  • Basic form, stance, and technique
  • Introduction to scoring and grouping

Why join?

A perfect stepping stone into archery—designed to be fun and low-pressure while still skill-focused.

Program Details:

  • 📆 Duration: 4 weeks (1 hour per week)
  • 👦 Ages: 8+
  • 🧤 Equipment: Provided – no need to bring anything
  • 💰 Cost: R80 per session (SANAA affiliation fee may apply)

Feathers & Arrows (Skill Development Program)

A structured, progressive coaching pathway for growing archers.

What is it?

This ongoing program follows SANAA’s national development structure, helping archers build technique, consistency, and confidence. Earn badges as you master each level and prepare for club events or competitions.

What you’ll learn:

  • Feathers – Entry-level: focus on posture, aim, and consistency
  • Arrows – Intermediate: advance to greater distances, scoring, and control
